This daily sudoku gives you a new 9×9 puzzle every calendar day — the same board for everyone, so you can compare how you did with friends. The puzzle above is today’s; use the date arrows to play any earlier day from the archive. Each board is generated from the date itself, has exactly one solution, and can always be finished by logic alone, never by guessing.

Five difficulty levels

Pick a level with the tabs above the board — easy, medium, hard, expert, or evil. Each level gives its own daily puzzle, so there are five fresh boards a day. Easy and medium fall to simple scanning and singles; hard needs pointing pairs and locked candidates; expert and evil ask for advanced patterns like the X-Wing. Your progress, timer, and best time are saved in your browser for each level and date.

How to play

1. Tap or click an empty cell, then choose a digit from the number pad (or type 1–9 on a keyboard).
2. Turn on Pencil to jot candidate digits into a cell while you work out a placement.
3. Use Undo and Erase to take back moves, Hint to reveal one correct cell, and Check to highlight any wrong entries.
4. Fill every row, column, and 3×3 box with 1–9 and the board completes itself — the timer stops and your time is saved.
